A very successful workshop was held with staff from the Office of Fair Trading at Wynnum Manly Leagues Club.
Members from local incorporated associations attended, and had plenty of questions for the staff.
There are booklets available from the Office of Fair Trading which give information about procedures for incorporation, and management of associations. These are FREE, and can be ordered from the office.
The material can also be downloaded from their website. Why not consider giving a copy to the members of your management committee – especially for those members who are new to your association.

Have you seen the Wynnum Manly Visitor Guide and Map? Well, you will not see the latest issue, as it is still in the planning stages, but for many years a map of the region, advertisements of accommodation, places to see, and quite a bit of information about the area has been distributed at the Brisbane Airport, Brisbane Information Centre, and local information centres as well as businesses in the area.
While this Guide and Map are especially targeting visitors to the area, we know that locals have found it useful too.
If your business is in the area, you may like to see the previous issue, and speak with Kevin Liepins who is currently working on the next issue.
This is one way to create interest in the Wynnum and Manly area and surrounds – and should especially be of interest to those businesses who cater for visitors.
